NEW LOUIS STERN GALLERIES TO OPEN WITH EXHIBITION OF IMPORTANT IMPRESSIONIST ARTWORKS BY MONET, RENOIR, PICASSO, MATISSE
Los Angeles ... Private art dealer LOUIS STERN will open a gallery August 30 in Beverly Hills with an exhibition featuring internationally important Impressionist, Post-impressionist and modern original artworks by Monet, Renoir, Pissarro, Bonnard, Sisley, Morisot, Picasso, Matisse, and Henry Moore.
"Although I have specialized in Impressionist art here in Los Angeles for over 30 years, many of my associations have been with New York, European and Japanese clients. We have been increasingly strengthened and encouraged by the continual growth and sophistication of the collecting community here in Los Angeles and on the West Coast in general. It seemed the right time to open a gallery of significant art of the 19th and 20th centuries, in what has become an active art market," explains Mr. Stern.
"Having spent so many years in fine European galleries, I wanted to integrate in an appropriate manner in our Beverly Hills location, the distinctive sensibilities of a Paris artspace, with its quiet elegance and continuity of art history " -- this, a first, in Southern California. We have tried to do so in the new LOUIS STERN GALLERIES, and with the opening show, scheduled from August 30 - October 1; with a special preview on August 29.
